Radiation Detected!

It has been some time since I have been able to post!  48 days to be exact!  Since my last sighting I have been to Christmas Parties, department stores, grocery stores, restaurants and fast food restaurants, pharmacies, convenience stores and work, I have driven to and from these places, past hospitals and doctors offices.  Finally, a legitimate hit!

My wife and I where at Xxxxxxxx doing some Christmas Shopping and Grocery shopping, and while in the hair care and grooming isles, near the lawn and garden center, the vibration alarm on my PM1703M went off, from 5 uR/hr background to 22 uR/hr.  I looked around and tried to find what was setting it off, but it was very crowded.  There where about 15 to 20 people in the general area.  There where many likely candidates (older people 50 and up), within a 20 foot radius.  I removed the PM1703M and looked at it like it was a pager, and slowly walked around aiming it at several couples and individuals.  The count rose to 66 uR/hr when the large flat surface where I believe the scintillation material to be was pointed (the portion of it that faces outward when clipped to my belt) at an elderly couple and a 50ish year old man.  The count dropped rapidly as they walked away.

I could not identify exactly who was radioactive without being noticed.  However, the closest I had gotten to the group with the highest reading was 15 feet.  The only person who new what I was doing was my wife.  Fortunately I have a wife that understands me and my hobby!  If I do not post before Christmas and New Year, Happy Holidays to those reading!
